Notice of Severe Weather Trading in Hong Kong Securities & Derivatives Markets
03 Sep, 2024

Dear Valued Customers:

Thank you for your continued support and trust in Victory Securities. We would like to inform you that in order to enhance Hong Kong's competitiveness as an international trading and risk management centre, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) will implement the Severe Weather Trading (SWT) arrangement with effect from 23 September 2024, which aims to ensure that all investors will be able to trade in adverse weather conditions. This is to ensure that trading and clearing in Hong Kong's securities and derivatives markets (including China Connect, derivatives trading and after-hours trading) can continue during adverse weather conditions.

Similar to the situation on regular trading days, the Company will continue to provide trading-related services, including online and offline trading, customer service hotline, clearing and settlement, and most other services during the inclement weather.

However, there are some key points for clients to note as follows:

1. Trading Arrangements:

* During the SWT period, all transactions will be conducted mainly through electronic channels. Offices and trading venues will be closed, but the Company will continue to provide general offline services.

* Please ensure that you have set up and are familiar with the use of the Company's online trading platform or download the APP application - ‘VictoryX’, so that you can trade as usual during the SWT period, and check frequently to ensure that the login and operation are normal.

2. Avoid delay in settlement:

* Please ensure that you have sufficient funds in your account for trading and settlement to avoid possible interest payments due to delays in settlement caused by factors such as inclement weather.

3. Stock Withdrawal Arrangement :

* During the SWT period, physical share withdrawal will be postponed to the next normal working day. Clients are advised to deposit the physical share certificates into their accounts before selling them to avoid any additional charges due to delayed settlement.

4. Internet Banking Arrangement:

* If you have not yet activate (SDDA) Direct Debit Authorisation application, please apply through our ‘VictoryX’ App immediately and set your transfer limit, so that you will not miss any trading opportunities during SWT and can complete the settlement operation smoothly.

5. Customer Service:

* Our customer service team will continue to provide support by phone and email. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

For enquire, please contact our Customer Service Officer at (852) 2523 1709 or (86) 14715017408 or email to cs@victorysec.com.hk to contact our customer service department during office hours.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
